On the International Day of Peace, Central Park became an open-air stage for Opera Italiana is in the Air, the annual concert founded and led by Maestro Alvise Casellati. With soprano Daniela Machado and tenor Alessio Borraggine at the center of the program, the evening celebrated the enduring force of Italian opera — bringing its emotion, beauty and humanity into the heart of New York.
The program also featured the world premiere of everwander by composer Ethan Hsu, performed alongside musicians from the Metropolitan Opera, Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music. An evening where opera left the theatre and entered the city — as music, encounter, and a universal language of peace.
